My name is Monika Dany, I am 41 an have been living in Austria all my life. My venture into the cat fancy started when I got into showing my first blue British Shorthair that I got as a pet. I started breeding British (Shorthair and Longhair) in 1993 under the cattery name Modany.
My start into the cat fancy was with Fife - as this was all we had than in Austria. Since TICA started in Austria in 1997 I have always been very much involved in being an active part in shows and clubs. In 2007 I founded the "British Breed Club" to help promoting my breed and 2008 I started my club "All About Cats" which is focused a lot on education of breeders and just had it's first show this spring.
2000 I went to the USA for the first time to meet my now good friend Pam Barrett and go to the my first Annual show.
2001 I was accepted into the TICA judging program and received my first licence at the 2002 Annual and have since progressed to Provisional Albreed judge. Some of you might know me as an exhibitor as I took a break from judging for the show season 2008/2009 to show my blue lynx point BS boy Modany Easy Rider to IW and also came to the UK with him several times.
I am looking forward to being back as a judge and coming to the UK again.
